After obtaining her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University, she was motivated to combine her passion for the 0-5 population with her desire to become a therapist. Melissa began working at The Help Group in 2008 in their Therapeutic Preschool program as a Milieu Therapist. Melissa moved on to school-based counseling before becoming the Program Director for Project SAFE in 2014. Melissa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who utilizes her knowledge of child development and her strengths-based approach to help enhance the clinical services that are provided to the families in Project SAFE.
